British Army 4 Colour Signal Lamp
Genuine British Armed Forces issue / Ministry of Defence (MOD) contract, Bardic Signal Lamp in good ex-issue condition.
Patented design, developed by Bardic for British Rail in the 1960s, the signal lamp features a rotating filter wheel which allows the torch to shine white, green, yellow, or red light for long-distance signalling. All lamps in this listing were produced for the British Army and feature the 'broad arrow' or crow's foot mark on the side of the housing to label the lantern as British military equipment, and property of the Ministry of Defence. These British Army lanterns include their original arrow filter which covers the lens of the torch - used to signal route directions and waypoints.
All lamps are untested but appear to be complete with no broken or missing parts. Lanterns may have chipped paintwork and superficial rust or corrosion due to age and use, please view the lisiting photographs to see the typical condition of these vintage used military items.
Requires, compatible battery cell (reccomended Eveready AD28 Battery 4.5V) not included. Suitable space for battery conversion inside the housing.
