ALTBERG 'Defender' High Liability Combat Boots (Black)

Genuine British Army Issue ALT-BERG Defender full leather combat boots with genuine GORETEX branded waterproof membrane lining and durable VIBRAM branded soles, available in a wide range of sizes.

Constructed of water-resistant full-grain leather uppers, leather-lining, reinforced toe, and a gusseted tongue to prevent water and dirt from entering the boot.

The 'Defender' are comfortable boots that protect the foot and ankle along with a durable shock-absorbing sole that works well on long hikes over rough ground.

These rugged boots are ideal for all outdoor activities such as hiking, security/work, airsoft, motorcycling and hunting.

Condition and Care:

GRADE 1 - Are in very good and servicable used condition with signs of light wear typical of used military footwear. Grade 1 boots will have no missing or broken parts and no damage beyond usual wear. These Grade 1 boots typically show some wear to the heel and sole but there will still be lots of tread and should give lots more service. Used boots may also have mud and dirt trapped in the tread, scuff marks, superficial scratches or fading on the leather upper. We cannot guarantee the performance of the GORETEX membrane and always reccomend reproofing treatment to restore and maintain the original water-repellent properties of this product.

GRADE 2 - Are in heavily used condition and may require repairs and restoration before the boots are servicable for use. Metal components may be damaged by rust or corrosion. Soles and heels may be heavily worn and do not have much tread remaining. Leather uppers may have substantial cuts or abrasions that affect the function of the water-repellent leather. Customers who order items in Grade 2 condition are doing so with the knowledge that the item has damage and may not be fit for service until properly repaired; we will not be liable for the cost of return postage if you are unhappy with the condition of the Grade 2 item you ordered.

Regardless of the item condition; as part of the normal care and maintenance for leather combat boots; we strongly reccomend the use of leather cream and suitable boot polish to protect the leather and restore original weather-repellent properties, especially since these boots have spent many years in storage and the leather may be dry.
