A large integrated hood provides additional protection in exposed conditions and features adjustment to help achieve a closer fit around the head and face. Many examples were originally manufactured with a wired hood edge; however, due to the genuine used military surplus nature of these garments, the hood wire may have been removed during previous service.

These smocks have been previously issued and used but are generally in very good condition with little signs of wear. As genuine military surplus, individual garments may show light marks or staining, minor fading or discolouration, writing or identification markings, scuffs, light abrasion, minor professional repairs and other general signs of previous service.

Please note that the wire originally fitted within the edge of the hood may have been removed from some smocks during their service life.

Sizing:

British Army clothing uses a numerical military sizing system based on the wearer's height and chest measurement in centimetres.

For example:

170/96 = approximately 170cm wearer height / 96cm chest
180/104 = approximately 180cm wearer height / 104cm chest
190/112 = approximately 190cm wearer height / 112cm chest

The first number represents the recommended wearer height and the second number represents the chest measurement.

These smocks are intentionally designed with a generous fit to allow additional clothing layers to be worn underneath. We recommend checking your measurements before ordering rather than relying solely on your usual civilian jacket size.
