      Swiss Army Alpenflage Coveralls

The Swiss Army Alpenflage Coveralls are genuine military-surplus tanker overalls featuring one of the most distinctive camouflage patterns ever used by a European armed force. Originally issued to Swiss military personnel, these rugged one-piece coveralls combine practical field features with the unmistakable red, green, brown and black tones of TAZ 57 / TAZ 83 camouflage, commonly known as Alpenflage.

Manufactured from a hard-wearing 50% polyester and 50% cotton blend, the coveralls were designed to cope with demanding military use while remaining flexible enough for working in confined spaces. Their one-piece construction provides excellent overall coverage, making them suitable for military collectors, outdoor work, bushcraft, airsoft, paintball and anyone looking for authentic vintage camouflage clothing.

Storage is one of the strongest features of these Swiss Army coveralls. Two deep zipped chest pockets, two zipped waist pockets and two zipped thigh pockets provide substantial space for tools and essential equipment. An additional zipped pocket on the left shoulder keeps smaller items within easy reach.

A particularly unusual military feature is the heavily reinforced internal drag handle. Hidden beneath a zipped opening at the back of the shoulders, the reinforced structure extends through the garment towards the thighs and was designed to provide a strong recovery point if the wearer needed assistance.

Zipped openings at the wrists and ankles make the coveralls easier to put on and remove over clothing and footwear. The waist is lightly elasticated and adjustable for a more comfortable fit, while snap fastenings around the collar were originally intended for attaching a compatible hood. Please note that the hood is not included.

The iconic Alpenflage pattern has become highly collectable in its own right. Originally developed for Swiss military use, its unusual combination of greens, browns, black and prominent red tones gives these coveralls a unique appearance that stands out from more conventional woodland camouflage.
