WW2 RAF MKIV Transit Case w/ non genuine binoculars 5X40

An original Second World War RAF Mk IV binocular transit / carrying case, supplied together with a pair of 5x40 binoculars for display purposes.

The case is the genuine period military item and represents an interesting surviving piece of RAF optical equipment from the Second World War.

It is supplied with a pair of 5x40 binoculars which fit inside the case and make this a more complete and attractive display piece.

Please note that the included binoculars are NOT genuine wartime RAF issue and are not original to the case.

WW2 RAF Transit Case

The case is an original British military / RAF item dating from the Second World War period and was designed for the storage and transportation of binoculars / optical equipment.

Purpose-made military cases such as this helped protect valuable optical equipment during transportation and storage while allowing it to be carried as part of a serviceman's equipment.

The case retains the characteristic robust construction associated with wartime British military equipment and makes an excellent standalone piece of RAF militaria.

Included 5x40 Binoculars

A pair of 5x40 binoculars is included with the case.

These binoculars are not being represented as genuine RAF issue, Second World War manufacture or original to this transit case.

They are included because they fit within the case and provide a more complete appearance for display.

Condition

The genuine RAF transit case is in used vintage condition with age-related wear consistent with an original item dating from the Second World War.

There may be marks, scratches, paint loss, discolouration, surface wear, oxidation and other signs of previous service, handling and long-term storage. These signs of age form part of the history and character of the original case.

The included 5x40 binoculars are also used and are supplied primarily to accompany the case for display purposes.
