DESCRIPTION

British Army Wooden Mallet (Head & Handle)

Genuine British Army issue wooden mallet, comprised of reinforced octagonal head and tapered handle. Classic and long-lived design, practically unchanged over the past 80 years. Most of these mallets are dated to the 1970 to 1990 period (with some earlier and some later). Ideally suited for wooden tent pegs.

The mallet is designed to easily separate the handle from the head, in order to allow more convenient transportation, and allow efficient repair or replacement of damaged parts.

Each Mallet Handle measures roughly cm 48cm / 19" long

Each Mallet Head measures roughly cm 15cm / 6" long and 9cm / 3.5" wide

All mallets available for sale through this listing are in overall good used condition with signs of normal use-related wear typical of used military equipment. Please be aware that due to the surplus nature of this item; being produced across a span of several decades; there can be a variety of slightly different colours and styles.
