British Army 1950's Canvas Tent with Insect Screen
Constructed of dark olive/drab canvas with insect screens at each end, this tents is in excellent used condition and come complete with:
- x1 Canvas Cover (used British army issue)
- x2 Wooden Poles (used British army issue)
- x1 Mallet (used British army issue)
- x8 Wooden Pegs (new)
Tents are generally in good condition for their age but will benefit from cleaning and may have had some small professional repairs made to them. See photos for an example of marks and repairs which may be on the canvas. The spikes of some wooden poles may need slightly sharpening fit to through the tops of the canvas. It is possible that some very small pinprick sizes holes may be present in the canvas. All guy ropes and door closing cords are intact and in good condition. We have been unable to test the waterproofing properties of the canvas so it is possible that they might need to be re-proofed to keep them good for another 40 years.
