      DESCRIPTION

US Army M-1951 Combat Jacket, Medium - Regular (JR246)

Rare genuine US Army M-51 combat jacket, constructed of olive green cotton sateen. Very early example, manufactured on Tuesday 29th January 1952 by Jules Segal & Co.; produced just four months after the M51's debut. The jacket is fitted with a CONMAR silver zipper in perfect working condition.

This garment is labelled size 'Medium - Regular' designed to fit individuals with chest size 37" to 41"; and 67" to 71" height.

      Condition:

This jacket is in very good used condition with signs of light wear typical of used military clothing. The jacket does not include a removable jacket liner and the original drawcords have been removed from the waist and hem channels. There are a handful of small superficial spots and paint / oil / rust marks on the fabric surface. Some light fraying on the sleeve cuffs. All zippers and fasteners are in perfect working condition with no damage or faults. The printed text in the jacket's lining is exceptionally legible considering the printed text is easily lost through wear and washing processes, and is absent from many similar examples of this period.

Please view the listing photographs to see details of the item condition.

      Actual Size:

Chest Circumference = 46" (23" Armpit to Armpit)

      Armpit to Cuff = 20.5"
