DESCRIPTION

East German Army Placemat

Genuine polycotton and lace square placemat bearing the military crest of the Nationale Volksarmee (NVA), the armed forces of communist East Germany during the cold war. These interesting items would have been manufactured and distributed as gifts to serving personnel and family members as promotional propaganda for the East German armed forces around the 1980-1990 period.

Condition:

All of these items are in deadstock unused condition with no damage or defects - these may be creased or dusty as a result of long term storage (over 30 years) but can be carefully washed and ironed.
