Civilian Duty CD / ARP Respirator (JS16)

Genuine British Government issue Civilian Duty 'CD' Respirator Gas Mask, in excellent original condition, complete with filter, elastic straps, and original linen carrying bag.

This mask and all components are clearly dated to January 1940. The design was used by various branches of civilian defence organisations including police, ambulance, fire service, and air raid wardens. Some contemporary photographs show this pattern of respirator in use during the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940.

PLEASE NOTE: The respirator filter on these masks is known to contain hazardous materials, the mask should never be worn and is strictly for display only.
