Original 'Case Carrying Bipod XM3' + Bipod

Rare US Army special-issue bipod, developed by Colt during the Vietnam War and issued in small numbers to soldiers to meet the needs of troops in jungle terrain. The pouch includes the spring-loaded bipod inside the main compartment, and features two additional compartments for cleaning rods and maintenance equipment - to make it easier for soldiers to carry essential items on their webbing.

The back of the pouch reads 'CASE CARRYING BIPOD XM3' and the Defense Service Agency number 'DSA-100-694' dating this pouch and bipod to April 1969.

The front zipped compartment of the pouch is fitted with a SCOVILL zipper in perfect condition.
