1940s Filson Seattle Hunting Jacket (JR 245)
Genuine vintage 'Filson Cruiser' wool sporting jacket, manufactured by C.C.Filson Co. of Seattle around the 1940s to 1950s period. Good used condition with some use-related marks and damage.
These lightweight and practical shooting jackets were popular amongst civilians and US military personnel alike. This particular example was found amongst a collection of uniform items attributed to a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Approximate size Large, to best fit chest size 41" to 45".
Condition:
This item is in overall good condition considering its age, with signs of wear typical of used military clothing. The jacket has two notable areas of damage: one stain beneath the second buttonhole on the left lapel of the jacket, roughly 2" in length. No previous attempt has been made to treat or remove this stain. The collar of jacket is beginning to show signs of fraying and separating from the body of the jacket on the right lapel. This might require restoration and reinforcement to prevent further separation of the collar from the body.
Aside from this, the jacket is in excellent condition and appears to be only very lightly used. All original Filson Branded pop fasteners are in perfect working condition with no faults.
