DESCRIPTION

Belgian Army M56 Para Smock [SB08]

Rare original Belgian Army parachutist smock, constructed of hard-wearing denim-type cotton drill fabric and printed with the early incarnation of Belgian m/56 'Jigsaw' camouflage.

The smock is a middle size, roughly equivalent to a US Army Size 'MEDIUM - REGULAR': to best fit individuals 160cm (67") to 170cm (71") tall, with chest size 94cm (37") to 104cm (41"). The smock is designed to be oversized and baggy so it could be worn comfortably over the top of all military webbing and equipment when making a parachute jump.

Condition:

This item is in good used condition with signs of wear typical of used military clothing. There are several patches of historic wear and damage which have been professionally repaired and reinforced; these repairs do not detract from the functionality of the smock and add the the unique character of a genuine military garment.
