Canadian Army Winter Parka - Short / Large (JR314)

Stunning genuine issue Canadian Army cold weather winter parka manufactured in July 1974 by Peerless Garments Ltd. These parkas are already very hard to find in large chest sizes regardless of age or condition; I have personally never seen another one of these in deadstock condition (showing no signs of use or wear) and I genuinely don't believe I'll ever see another one after this.

This absolute beast of an outerwear garment features an authentic 1970s 'LIGHTNING' Zipper in perfect working condition; the outer shell of the parka is constructed of hard-wearing and weatherproof Nylon Cotton in the official OG-107 military green colour. The body and sleeves of the parka are fully insulated with a lightweight and heat-trapping layer of synthetic insulation. The sleeves are fitted with a knitted cuff to reduce cold drafts and heat-loss. The parka is designed with a fixed hood; lined with heavy wool flannel fabric and trimmed with real coyote fur to prevent frost and condensation forming around the wearer's face.

LABELLED SIZE: 3 (Short / Large)

To best fit individuals between 5'3" to 5'6" tall; and between 41" to 44" chest circumference.

      Condition:

This item is in immaculate condition with no signs of use-related wear and no signs of damage. The fabric of the garment has some very minor creases and may be dusty from long-term storage. As the photographs show, there is a small degree of yellowing and discolouration on the white fabric contract labels but both labels are fully legible and serve as evidence that this 50 year old garment has never been worn in the field.
All buttons, buttonholes, toggles, drawstrings, and zippers are in perfect condition with no damage or faults.

Please view the listing photographs to see details of the item condition.

      Actual Size:
      Chest Circumference = 59" (29 1/2" Armpit to armpit)
      Armpit to Cuff = 22"
      Neck to Hem = 33"
