German Army Snow Camo Poncho

Genuine Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) issue 'Schneetarn' snow camouflage poncho designed to shroud and conceal troops operating in snowy alpine environments with sparse green 'pine-needle' elements to blend in with fir trees and winter vegetation.

Very simple but highly effective camouflage, this first saw use in the early 1960s and the exact same pattern is still in use by the German and Italian Armed Forces today as the default snow camouflage.

As a large portable camouflage sheet; this product has the added advantage of providing a camouflage concealment for equipment and bivouacs as well as personnel.

Condition:

All German Snow Ponchos are in very good used condition with signs of normal use-related wear typical of used military clothing. Since these are military items, originally made of white cotton fabric, please expect some amount of discolouration and yellowing in patches as a result of normal use and laundering. Ponchos may have very small rust or dirt stains which do not affect the functionality of the product; and ponchos may have small holes and evidence of repairs and reinforcements where these lightweight cotton sheets have been previously mended.
