WW2 Swiss Army Snow Shovel

WW2 Era Swiss Army Aluminium Snow Shovels in excellent ex-issue condition.

Manufactured in the 1930s and 1940s for the Swiss Army, issued to troops to clear roadways in areas with heavy snowfall. These aluminium snow shovels are lightweight and shaped specifically to move snow quickly and easily.

These shovels are constructed with wooden handles which can be easily released from the aluminium shovel head using a sliding ring; the detachable handle makes the shovel practical to store and transport; and allows broken handles to be replaced without the need of special tools.

These shovels would be a perfect tool to keep in the car when snowy weather threatens to slow you down!

Condition:

Due to the surplus nature of the item; the shape of the handle will vary slightly between items. All shovels are in very good serviceable condition with no damage to the shovel head or the handle. All shovels show signs of wear typical for issued military equipment; shovels may be dirty or dusty from storage; and loose handles might require tightening-up; but all shovels will clean up well and offer many more years of service!
