DESCRIPTION

East German Shelter Half (RS1)

Genuine East German military issue zeltbahn-type square shelter half constructed of heavy duty weather-resistant canvas, printed with the distinctive NVA 'Strichtarn' raindrop pattern camouflage.

Can be combined with a second half and adapted into a 2-man A-Frame tent; and can be worn by individuals as a rain poncho, aided by the use of two arm holes and two drawstring channels which convert one corner of the shelter into a hood.

Condition:

This item is in very good used condition with signs of light wear typical of used military equipment. Shows some evidence of professional repairs and reinforcements to mend and prevent future damage. Sold without unmended tears or holes.
