This is one of those rare occasions where we haven't been able to identify precisely what or where this military issue combat jacket has come from but we can share what we do know...

• This item is in 'Deadstock' unissued and unworn condition which came to us from an eclectic collection of rare and prototype/trial uniform pieces.
• This is clearly a direct copy of the French Army's M47 'Light Pattern Tunic', but the fabric, buttons, and labelling does not match authentic French Army examples from the 1940s-1960s period.
• The only text on the jacket is stamped on the right pocket lining, reading 'SOL C104', suggesting a military force that uses the central European sizing system that was prevalent in the 1960s-1980s.
• The fabric, buttons, and labelling system closely matches some Swiss, Belgian, and Dutch-produced uniforms of the 1960s-1980s period but it doesn't appear to belong to any of these nations.
